Frequently Asked Questions
How long will I have to wait for an appointment?
I will try to offer an appointment within a week after contact. Naturally it will depend on your diary as well as mine.
How much will it cost?
My normal fee is £70.00/hr. We will discuss fees in our initial meeting, and if there is an issue about costs we will seek to find a solution fair to you and to me.
Will my private health insurance cover this?
That will depend on your insurer and your level of cover. I am a BUPA and CIGNA HEALTH Registered Provider, and most other insurers usually will support psychotherapy. You should consult your insurer for clarification.
When are you available?
I offer sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. My earliest appointment is usually 9:30, and I work into the evenings on each day.
When is best to contact you?
At any time you may ring and if I am not available, leave a message, or email, and I will respond as soon as possible.
To fix a time to meet it is best to speak on the phone so that any further questions you have can be raised, and a mutually suitable meeting time can be agreed.
CONSIDER
If for you selecting a therapist through a website seems a little risky, it is important that you ask the questions that you have, and weigh the responses you get, carefully. I appreciate the need for this consideration and will welcome the opportunity to discuss matters with you as you make your decision.
REMEMBER
In the first meeting we will explore what has brought you, and how working together may help. If you find that our working together does not seem right for you, we will talk about what other options you might wish to investigate.
